largest healthcare companies, that manages and runs many hospitals in the USA, needed to track toxic assets and material that may be leaving their hospital inadvertently without the knowledge of the staff.</p> <p><strong>Identified Problem:</strong> Toxic materials may leave the hospital in large bags with garbage and are usually hidden from view. This makes it difficult for the hospitals to track when the asset is leaving the facility. Each time a toxic asset leaves the hospital without being properly accounted for they incur a fine upward of $25,000.</p> <p><strong>Solution & Technology Used:</strong> The hospital needed to be notified via alarm anytime a toxic asset or material was inadvertently leaving the hospital through their doorways. RFRain’s RFR-RAIN-4-SMART-ADV has the ability to read tags from 1 foot to 80 feet away, at a speed of 750 tags per second. Further RFRain’s Advanced Reader with its fast reading capability is able to detect an asset inside of a garbage bag and large bins, to allow for an 100% detection rate.
