Sarasota, FL, April 3, 2020 –RFRain LLC, an innovator in developing and manufacturing complete RAIN RFID hardware and software solutions, announced today that its first Smart Handheld Reader, the RFR-RAIN-1-HANDHELD is set to release Q2 2020.
The new model of the Smart Reader series is an extension of the RFR-RAIN-4-SMART built to meet the needs of our customers to use RFID on-the-go. The Handheld Smart Reader does not require additional hardware or software to enable a user to start monitoring assets in real time. The RFR-RAIN-1-HANDHELD reader comes pre-installed with Zone Manager Mobile software application and provides plug-and-play capabilities to start reading tags immediately on an iOS or Android device. The Handheld Reader is perfect for quick inventorying in applications such as warehousing, retail, apparel inventory, conveyor belts in airports, and manufacturing.
The Smart Handheld Reader has a long-read range performance that can read assets up to 15 feet away with a dual 5 dBi linearly polarized antenna. Powered by a 12,000 mAh Lithium-ion battery, the sled reader provides a long-lasting and uninterrupted performance that lasts up to 8,5 hours, making the RFR-RAIN-1-HANDHELD the most powerful RFID reader in the industry. Durably designed, the reader is IP67 rated to withstand harsh weather conditions and drops.
Control the RFR-RAIN-1-HANDHELD reader using the Zone Manager Mobile app on your Smart Phone and start scanning inventory immediately. The reader reads the tags and stores the tags on the reader or automatically in the Zone Manager Enterprise cloud based on the user preference.
“The release of the RFRain Smart Handheld Reader was a natural step for us, we are coming up with new products every day to meet the increasing demand of our customers,” says Danny Akaoui, CEO and founder of RFRain,” Our goal is to drastically simplify the installation and deployment of RFID systems in any industry by providing feature-rich fixed, mobile, and handheld readers that are easy to deploy and that are priced right.”
Starting at $1688, the new RFRain Handheld Reader will be on display at the RFID Journal LIVE! 2020 (Orlando, FL, September 9 – 11).
